Welcome to Science Talk at Cal! This conference will focus on the challenges of communicating the sciences to the public, involving some of the best scientists and communications specialists from the fields of water, food, and climate change.
A conference that educates communicators and scientists on reaching out to the public is necessary and timely in an era of proliferating fake news and climate change denial. Join us as our speakers talk about their experiences in communicating scientific information to the public. Later, there will be an opportunity to apply the speakers’ knowledge to your own project in a collaborative, two-hour workshop.
